Characterisation of stormwater runoff in urban catchments in the Community of Madrid
Summary
Canal de Isabel II is procuring 36 months of technical assistance to characterise stormwater runoff in urban catchments and sewer networks in the Community of Madrid. The work includes selecting study catchments, adapting street drains for temporary sampling equipment, collecting rainwater runoff samples, and laboratory analysis of pollutants including microplastics, emerging contaminants, PFAS and heavy metals. Deliverables include event reports, analytical results, a final report, a GIS visualisation tool and a spreadsheet of results; the contract is not divided into lots and its estimated value is €1,324,795.36 excluding VAT, with a variable scope tied to actual needs and weather conditions.
