Hygiene and healthcare waste container services for Parla public buildings and schools

Summary

The tender covers hygiene and biohazardous waste services for Parla’s public buildings, schools, sports facilities and other municipal premises. The contractor will install, clean, disinfect, maintain and replace women’s sanitary bins, collect the waste deposited in them and arrange its treatment. The contractor will also supply, replace and collect containers for Class III healthcare waste, including sharps, and ensure compliant waste treatment. The service covers the José Luis Sampedro Day Centre and the addiction treatment centre. Sanitary bins are generally exchanged monthly and healthcare-waste containers quarterly. At the start of the contract, 323 sanitary bins must be supplied, including 22 reserve units, together with 6 healthcare-waste containers; the documents state that 2 additional units are held in reserve. Containers must meet the technical safety, hygiene and durability requirements. A damaged sanitary bin must be replaced within 24 hours of notice. The service also includes waste transport and treatment and evidence of work performed. The contract runs for two years from 22 December 2026, or from a later contract-signing date, and may be extended twice for one year each, for a maximum total of four years. The annual budget is €17,951.60 excluding VAT and €19,746.76 including 10% VAT; the estimated contract value is €86,167.68 excluding VAT. Price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must provide turnover and comparable-experience evidence, authorisation to manage healthcare waste, evidence of compliance with the environmental-management requirement, and a compliant price offer.
