Repair of damaged asbestos-cement pipes in Mislata’s drinking-water network

Summary

The contract covers repairs to Mislata’s municipal drinking-water network damaged by the October 2024 DANA storm, including damaged asbestos-cement pipes and related infrastructure. The works include replacing the affected pipes with high-density polyethylene or ductile-iron pipes, renewing household connections, excavating and backfilling trenches, connecting to the existing network, carrying out pressure and leak-tightness tests, safely removing and managing asbestos-cement waste, and restoring road surfaces and other affected urban elements. The contractor must organise the works to maintain the drinking-water service as safely as possible and coordinate supply interruptions and network connections with the service concessionaire. This is an open procedure, not divided into lots, with a maximum performance period of 10 months from signature of the setting-out inspection record. The total budget is EUR 2,859,786.91 including VAT. Evaluation awards up to 80% for price, 10% for a commitment to employ unemployed people and 10% for extending the warranty period. Participation requires the specified contractor classification or equivalent capacity, relevant experience and turnover; bids must be submitted electronically within 26 calendar days of publication of the contract notice.
