Invitation to market dialogue on construction works in the Karhunaukio planning area

Summary

The City of Turku invites companies to take part in a market dialogue for construction works in the Karhunaukio planning area. The planned works include building Karhunkatu street, Karhunaukio square and park, the Kivalterinpuistikko, Poropuisto and Voudinpuisto parks, and the Rummunlyöjänpolku, Poropolku and Kivalterinpolku paths; constructing bridges on Poropolku and Rummunlyöjänpolku; building a noise barrier on Itäkaari; and carrying out traffic signal works at the Itäkaari and Karhunkatu junction. An option is planned for the surface pavement works on Karhunkatu, provisionally scheduled for autumn 2028. The market dialogue will take place on Teams on 6 October 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interested companies must register and submit questions through the tarjouspalvelu.fi portal by 12:00 noon on 5 October 2026. This is not a contract notice or request for tenders. Taking part in the dialogue is not a prerequisite for participating in the later competition and does not affect a bidder’s position. The actual tender competition is planned for October–November 2026, and information from the dialogue will be used to prepare it. Neither the invitation nor the dialogue commits the contracting authority to proceed with the procurement.
