Rehabilitation of the Oberthal-Güdesweiler wastewater treatment plant and renewal of stormwater treatment

Summary

The tender covers the rehabilitation of the Oberthal-Güdesweiler wastewater treatment plant and the renewal of stormwater treatment. The works include dismantling the existing pond treatment plant and building a technical wastewater treatment plant, including a fine screen, circular grit chamber, Biocos-process activated-sludge basin, phosphorus precipitation system and sludge storage tank. Stormwater treatment will also be renewed, including construction of a diversion structure, stormwater overflow basin, flow-control and inlet pumping station, retention soil filter and outlet flow control. A new building with approximately 190 m² of usable floor area will also be constructed. The works cover civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation engineering, as well as building services. The notice gives, among other quantities, approximately 320 m³ of reinforced concrete demolition, excavation and reuse of 10,000 m³ of earth, placement of 8,500 m³ of replacement soil, 2,000 m² of asphalt works, construction of 900 m³ of reinforced concrete and 700 m² of sheet piling; the existing operating building is to be demolished completely.
