Supply of hoses for Salamanca's fire and rescue service
Summary
The City of Salamanca is procuring hoses, couplings and accessories for its fire and rescue service, for pumping and distributing water. Hoses must be supplied as complete, factory-coupled and tested units; loose lengths for assembly at the destination are not allowed. The estimated annual quantity is 88 hoses in total: 20 hoses of 25 mm diameter and 20 m length, 20 of 45 mm and 20 m, 20 high-pressure hoses of 45 mm and 20 m, 20 hoses of 70 mm and 20 m, and 8 hoses of 70 mm and 5 m. Technical requirements include, among other things, four-layer hoses reinforced with Kevlar or an equivalent material, Barcelona-type couplings, and specified testing and material standards; the 70 mm hoses must have longitudinal external ribs. Bids must comply with the technical specification and include the required test evidence and conformity documents. The contract runs for one year, with an option to extend it for a further year. Hoses must be delivered within 30 days of an order to the fire and rescue service at Av. de la Merced 22–30, Salamanca; delivery costs are the supplier’s responsibility. The maximum budget for the initial one-year term is €34,414.20 including VAT, and the estimated contract value is €62,571.52. Bids are evaluated on price (up to 60 points), an extended warranty (up to 15 points), a reduced delivery period (up to 15 points), and evidence of the UNE-EN ISO 4675 standard or an equivalent thermal-resistance testing standard (up to 10 points).
