Repair and rehabilitation of the pedestrian footbridge over Teófilo Llorente Street in Vigo’s Old Town

The procurement covers the repair and rehabilitation of the pedestrian footbridge over Teófilo Llorente Street in Vigo’s Old Town, connecting Pedra Square with the Pedra viewpoint. The works include locally removing paving around the supports, cleaning and preparing metal surfaces, and strengthening columns and beams weakened by corrosion. Damaged HEB320 sections must be repaired by welding with E7018 electrodes, and plinths must be formed to restore structural capacity and prevent water accumulation. The metal surfaces must receive a three-coat protective system complying with UNE-EN ISO 12944-5, corrosion category C4 and high durability: 75 μm of zinc-rich primer, a 75 μm epoxy intermediate coat and a 50 μm polyurethane finish, for a total dry-film thickness of 200 μm. The maximum works period is three months, with a planned start date of 1 November 2026. The procurement uses an open procedure under ordinary processing and comprises one contract without lots. The maximum tender budget, including VAT, is €84,917.56, including €14,737.76 in VAT; the estimated contract value is €84,215.76. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity or hold works-contractor classification Group C, Subgroup 3, Category 1. The successful bidder must provide the required insurance evidence before work begins. The works carry a minimum five-year warranty.
