Implementation, integration and maintenance of an integrated archaeological information management system
Summary
The Institut de Cultura de Barcelona is procuring a unified system to manage archaeological information, including intervention requests and records, associated documents and archives, archaeological-material inventories, heritage records, conservation and restoration work, and online publication. The contract includes configuring and implementing the system, migrating existing data, integrating with corporate systems—including MuseumPlus for archaeological deposits—and providing hosting, maintenance, user support and functional evolution. The deposits themselves will continue to be managed in the existing system. The contract is not divided into lots; its initial term is two years, with extensions of up to two years. The system is to accommodate approximately 2,393 interventions and 540,000 inventory records, with annual growth of about 150 interventions and 30,000 inventory records, and an initial storage capacity of 3 TB.
