Maintenance of wired network electronics and cybersecurity infrastructure at the Autonomous University of Madrid

Summary

The Autonomous University of Madrid is procuring maintenance and renewal services for its network infrastructure and cybersecurity systems in two lots. Lot 1 covers wired data-network electronics and associated software, including technological renewal of obsolete equipment. Lot 2 covers maintenance, renewal and monitoring of the cybersecurity infrastructure. The services are intended to keep the network and security systems operational, up to date and compatible with the university’s existing infrastructure. The contract runs for 47 months, from 1 February 2027 to 31 December 2030, with an option to extend for 13 months. Automatically scored technical improvements contribute to the award score; price is worth up to 60 points in Lot 1 and up to 70 points in Lot 2. Each claimed improvement must be expressly offered and supported by evidence. The highest-ranked bidder for Lot 1 must also provide a physical demonstration setup and pass technical interoperability and validation tests. Bidders must meet the turnover and comparable-experience thresholds. Lot 1 requires at least one network technician with the specified experience and qualifications; manufacturer authorisations, certificates and other participation requirements apply to both lots. The tender also requires a 5% final guarantee, environmental and waste-management measures, and compliance with employment and data-protection obligations during contract performance.
