Replacement of the fibre-cement roof at Mercalicante Hall III

Summary

Mercalicante is procuring works to replace the asbestos-containing fibre-cement roof of Hall III at its Alicante facilities. The single, undivided contract covers removal and authorised disposal of approximately 5,058.99 m² of fibre-cement roof panels and 413.28 m² of fibre-cement louvres, followed by installation of new insulated roof panels, curved roof-light cladding, gutters, metal structures, rainwater downpipes, safety systems and associated finishes. The works also include waste management, safety measures and related installation and repair work. The contract is planned for completion within 10 months from the roof-setting-out record; the estimated budget is €1,076,737.98 including VAT.
