Tender detail
Laboratory testing of samples of goods from third countries
Summary
The tender covers laboratory testing under the 2027 coordinated sampling programmes of samples of animal-origin and non-animal-origin goods imported into the EU from third countries for human consumption, as well as food-contact materials. Border-control inspectors collect the samples and the laboratory analyses them across 13 lots: pesticides; heavy metals; mycotoxins; polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and other chemicals; additives; allergens; dioxins and PCBs; Salmonella, Listeria, Enterobacter sakazakii and histamine; STEC E. coli; Vibrio cholerae; and migration testing of substances from food-contact materials. Estimated volumes are specified by lot, and payment is based on the unit price for tests actually performed. The contract runs for one year from the planned start in March 2027 or, if later, from the day after signature, with a possible further one-year extension. The estimated value is €1,573,549.91 excluding VAT; the contract budget including VAT is €1,903,995.39. Price is worth up to 80 points, while urgent transport of samples within 24 hours under suitable temperature conditions is worth up to 20 points. Bids must quote unit prices for each lot sought. Laboratories must meet the accreditation, experience and turnover requirements, belong to the RELSA food-safety laboratory network, and comply with testing deadlines, impartiality and reporting obligations.
