Competition for impact measurement of promising basic-skills interventions – revised 2026 round

Summary

The tender concerns the submission of promising interventions used in education so that their impact can be measured. Based on predefined quality criteria, NWO will select interventions for implementation during the 2027–2028 and 2028–2029 school years; an independent research team will then evaluate their effectiveness. The intervention must be suitable for foundational or general education, focus on at least one basic skill, and be ready for implementation and evaluation through a randomised controlled study. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 6 October 2026 at 12:00. A bidder may apply for only one of three lots: language/Dutch, mathematics, or digital literacy and/or citizenship. Quality carries 100% of the evaluation weight and price carries 0%.
