Chauffeur-driven passenger transport services for the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands

Summary

The tender establishes a dynamic purchasing system for chauffeur-driven passenger transport services required by the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands. Services may include, among other things, occasional and on-demand journeys, staff and school transport, minibus or coach hire, transport for official delegations and events, transport for passengers with special needs, and transport for visits to restricted port areas. Technical requirements for each specific contract will be set separately. The system has an estimated value of €1,000,000 excluding VAT and will run for 10 years from the first supplier’s admission. Businesses may apply to join throughout the system’s term; requests for specific services will be sent to suppliers admitted to the system. Applicants must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €25,000 in the best of the last three available financial years and contracts for similar services worth at least €25,000 performed during the previous three years. Drivers must also hold the licences required for the relevant vehicle category. Applications must include the required administrative documents and evidence that tax and social security obligations are up to date. For specific contracts, price may account for 0–100% of the score and technical quality aspects for up to 50%. Contract performance must include fuel-efficient driving measures, and an equivalent replacement driver or vehicle must be provided within two hours if the assigned driver or vehicle is unavailable.
