Adapted transport for students with reduced mobility

Summary

The Municipality of Espinho is procuring adapted return transport during the 2026/2027 school year for students living in Espinho who have reduced mobility and receive learning and inclusion support. The service covers journeys between students’ homes and schools in Espinho and, where suitable specialist education is unavailable locally, schools outside the municipality. An estimated 13 students will be transported over 169 school days, with an estimated total of 13,621.40 km; these estimates do not guarantee a minimum volume. The contract is estimated to run for 273 days, until 30 June 2027. Bids must state a price per kilometre and the corresponding total price excluding VAT; price is the sole award criterion. The tender’s base price is EUR 43,724.69 excluding VAT, and payment is based on kilometres actually travelled and approved by the contracting authority. Bids must be submitted electronically by 5 October 2026 at 23:59 and remain valid for 66 days. Tenderers must meet the licensing, documentary, accessibility and safety requirements for vehicles, drivers and, where required, attendants.
