Platform extensions and safety upgrades at Laguna and Embajadores stations, and track platform treatment in the Atocha–Móstoles tunnel

Summary

ADIF is procuring works under three construction projects on Madrid commuter rail line C-5: extending the platforms at Laguna and Embajadores stations by 30 metres each, improving accessibility, evacuation, fire protection and ventilation, and treating the track platform between kilometre points 1+300 and 3+000 in the Atocha–Móstoles tunnel. The Laguna works include four emergency exits, a ventilation shaft and two new lifts; the Embajadores works include four emergency exits. The contract is for 31 months, with an estimated value of €44,294,455.44 excluding VAT.
