Winter maintenance of roads in Cieszyn in the 2026/2027 season
Summary
The procurement covers winter road maintenance in the city of Cieszyn during the 2026/2027 winter season, divided into four parts: keeping roads in the northern part of the city passable and maintaining roads in three tractor districts. The service lasts five months from 1 November 2026 and includes routine snow clearing, treatment of winter slipperiness with road salt or another permitted chemical, removal of snowdrifts and ice, and removal of excess snow and slush from road verges. The contractor must provide round-the-clock operational readiness and start work no later than one hour after receiving an instruction. It must monitor weather conditions, supply and store the required materials, and equip working vehicles and machines with GPS tracking that the contracting authority can access. For every part, the bidder must provide evidence of business liability insurance with coverage of at least PLN 100,000. Minimum equipment varies by part: Part 1 requires a truck with a plough and salt spreader, as well as equipment for loading and removing snow; Parts 2–4 require a tractor with a plough and a spreader for loose materials. Bids are evaluated on price (60 points) and, depending on the part, shorter response times and equipment features. The successful contractor must submit daily work reports by 10:00 the following day; drivers and operators must be employed under employment contracts throughout the contract.
