Request for information: construction, installation and measurement arrangements for autonomous vehicles

Summary

VTT is conducting a market consultation to identify a potential service provider to support research and development infrastructure for autonomous vehicles, including vehicle fleet maintenance and the construction, machining, installation and electrical work for vehicle prototypes. The service would also cover measurement preparation and assistance, including in the Muonio, Kittilä and Kolari areas, as well as upkeep of the vehicle fleet and laboratory environment. The described service calls for, among other things, electrical work qualifications, knowledge of vehicle technology and CAN data, driving entitlements in several categories, and metalworking and safety qualifications. This is a preliminary market consultation, not a request for tenders: bids are not being requested, and participation does not bind VTT or the participants. Interested companies may submit written introductory material, potentially including a pricing model, corporate responsibility information, relevant references and optional services, through the tarjouspalvelu.fi portal by 16 October 2026 at 15:00. The planned contract start is 1 May 2027, while the procurement arrangements and schedule are to be refined towards the end of 2026.
