Ice rink freezing, snow clearing and brushing

Summary

Tuusula Municipality is procuring freezing, snow clearing and brushing services for its natural ice rinks for the period from 1 November 2026 to 1 April 2028. The contract may be extended for the period from 1 November 2028 to 1 April 2029. The procurement is divided into four lots: freezing and snow clearing/brushing in the southern and northern areas of Tuusula. Each service covers 5–7 rinks in the south and five in the north; the number of rinks may change during the contract. Work schedules depend on weather and the municipality’s needs, and no minimum number of working hours is guaranteed. Freezing may be required on any day of the week. Rinks must be cleared by 8:00 on weekdays and by 10:00 at weekends; after heavy snowfall, clearing starts again once all rinks have been cleared. Brushing takes place before freezing. The contractor must use and maintain the location-tracking devices supplied by the contracting authority; their use is a condition for invoicing. One or two providers will be selected for freezing services and one or two for snow clearing and brushing. The bid submission deadline is 20 October 2026.
