Market dialogue on heating, plumbing and ventilation design for phase 4 of the AaltoAlvari renovation

Summary

This is a market dialogue by the City of Jyväskylä to prepare a procurement of design services for phase 4 of the renovation of the AaltoAlvari aquatic centre. It is not a contract notice, and participation in the dialogue does not commit participants to taking part in a later tender procedure. The client preliminarily plans to procure the different design disciplines separately; each discipline is expected to include project planning, detailed design, preparation of construction tender documents and design tasks during construction. This dialogue concerns heating, plumbing and ventilation design. The building is a protected cultural heritage complex designed by Alvar Aalto. The design must take account of its heritage values, technical performance and users’ needs, while enabling swimming activities to continue as extensively as possible during construction. The preliminary schedule envisages project planning in 2027, detailed design and preparation of the construction tender in 2028, and construction in 2029–2030. Participants are invited to review the published draft procurement documents and submit written comments on the questions in the notice by the deadline of 21 October 2026.
