Supply of a vestibular examination system for Son Llàtzer Hospital
Summary
The tender is for a new vestibular examination system for the ear, nose and throat department of Son Llàtzer University Hospital, including supply, installation, connection to existing systems, commissioning and staff training. The system must assess all six semicircular canals, record head and eye movements simultaneously, calculate the VOR automatically and detect overt and covert saccades. It must include a computer, database software and PDF reporting. It must work with the hospital’s existing OtoAccess database and IT environment, including Windows 11 or later; all necessary software, licences, integration, testing and commissioning must be included in the price. The offer must include a detailed technical description, acceptance-test protocols and a staff-training programme. Award criteria are price (40 points), extended warranty (up to 6 points), extended preventive and corrective maintenance (up to 6 points), and technical suitability (48 points). Technical suitability is assessed at up to 8 points each for SHIMP, Head Shake and Valsalva protocols; future expansion to VNG, caloric testing and oculomotor testing; real-time head-impulse quality control; integration with the clinical record; advanced training and technical support within less than 48 hours; and included software updates. A minimum two-year all-risk warranty is required, with faults normally resolved in less than two working days. Delivery must include installation, acceptance testing, on-site training and complete technical documentation. Bids must be submitted electronically; the deadline is 11:00 on the 15th day after the contract notice is published.
