Motor third-party liability insurance for EMVISUR's vehicle fleet

Summary

The procurement is for motor vehicle liability insurance for EMVISUR’s fleet, with the mandatory and additional covers specified in the tender documents. The insurance must cover liability for injury to people and damage to property arising from road traffic incidents; voluntary third-party liability cover is capped at €50,000,000. Depending on vehicle type, the minimum cover also includes legal assistance and bail bonds, recovery of damages, glass damage, roadside assistance, driver accident cover, and, for some vehicle groups, theft and fire. The technical specification lists 12 vehicles. The fleet may grow or shrink during the contract; additions are insured using the unit price for the relevant vehicle group and a pro-rata premium for the remaining period. Bids are scored out of 100 points: price, up to 45 points; additional insurance covers, up to 40 points; increased driver death, permanent disability and medical-expense benefits, up to 5 points; extended medical-expense cover at contracted medical centres, up to 5 points; and waiver of recovery claims against the policyholder or vehicle owner, 5 points. Bids must be submitted electronically within at least 15 calendar days of dispatch of the contract notice. Evidence of economic, financial, technical or professional capacity is not required because the estimated contract value is below €35,000.
