Wolf Research 2027

Summary

The Lithuanian State Service for Protected Areas under the Ministry of Environment is procuring wolf research services for 2027. The work covers collecting samples from wolves hunted in Lithuania and conducting laboratory genetic, age and reproductive studies, as well as analysing large-carnivore sighting questionnaires and snow-track count data. Interim and final reports will present the findings and recommendations for wolf population management and the hunting limit for the 2027–2028 season. The procurement is not divided into lots and covers samples from up to 318 wolves.
