Architectural design competition for a school building in Vilnius

Summary

This is an open architectural design competition to find a design for a school building at 43 Bendorių Street in Vilnius; it is not a construction works procurement. Participants must submit an architectural concept and explain the building’s functionality, rationality and quality in use. Learning spaces and classrooms are to be designed for flexible use and, in general, to accommodate 30 pupils at a time unless a room-specific note states otherwise. At competition stage, proposals for adapting room layouts and managing the building may be conceptual; detailed requirements for engineering systems and automation will be established during later design stages. The design will be assessed, among other aspects, for its architectural concept, coherence, aesthetics, functionality, rationality and relationship to the local landscape, natural environment and urban context.
