Technical assessment of the condition of a reinforced-concrete garage floor slab in Warsaw

Summary

The procurement is for a technical expert assessment of the reinforced-concrete intermediate floor slab between levels 0 and -1 in the garage at Marii Kazimiery 18/26, Warsaw. The work includes mapping damage and identifying its causes, assessing the condition of the concrete and reinforcement and the extent of corrosion, calculating the slab’s load-bearing capacity in its current condition and after the planned strengthening, and recommending repairs or strengthening for the slab and floor. The assessment must provide a basis for subsequent repair design and define conditions for safe use. The work includes, among other tasks, taking 20 concrete samples, carrying out 10 pull-off tests, and testing carbonation at 20 points. Chloride content, corrosion potential, corrosion current density, and—using the Galva Pulse method—concrete resistivity and reinforcement corrosion rate must each be measured at 20 randomly selected points and at a further 20 damaged points. The contractor must also perform non-destructive Impact Echo testing and measure slab geometry and deflection at least without variable loading and while variable loading is present. Results, calculations, test reports, drawings and photographs must be delivered as a complete expert assessment. The bidder must demonstrate proper completion, within the last three years, of at least one reinforced-concrete structure assessment with the specified scope; no minimum service value is set. The assessment must be prepared and authorised by at least two independent, currently qualified experts with the required experience. The offer must include the required declarations and price form and specify a completion period of 90, 85 or 80 days from contract conclusion. The successful bidder must provide performance security of 5% before signing the contract. The contract also requires employment under employment contracts for staff performing specified technical sampling tasks and maintenance of liability insurance.
