Framework Agreement for Battery Energy Storage Systems – Energielandschap Lageland

Summary

This procurement will establish an eight-year framework agreement with three contractors for battery energy storage systems at Energielandschap Lageland. The initial turnkey project covers the design, supply, construction, system integration, testing and commissioning of an approximately 15 MW / 60 MWh battery park connected to a 21 MW grid connection, with commissioning planned for Q1 2029. The contractor will deliver a functioning, grid-compliant system and provide separate operation and maintenance services for ten years. A later mini-competition under the framework may cover expansion to at least 50 MW / 200 MWh; this phase is not being awarded now and is tentatively planned for around 2032/2033, subject to grid-operator approval. Candidates must meet the financial, insurance, reference, certification and compliance requirements and submit the required declarations. Up to six qualified candidates with the highest scores will be invited to tender.
