Digital slide scanners for pathology

Summary

The tender concerns the supply of two digital slide scanners for the pathology department of Amsterdam UMC. One system must support the scanning of cytological specimens and frozen sections at the VUmc location, while the second must increase scanning capacity for histology, immunohistochemistry and low-cellularity immunocytology specimens at the AMC location. The equipment must be supplied, installed, validated, handed over ready for use and connected to Sectra PACS. The supplier is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance during the warranty year; a maintenance contract will be concluded afterwards. Amsterdam UMC may order one additional equivalent system during the first three years. Tenders must be submitted by 5 October 2026 at 12:00. Awarding is based on the best price-quality ratio: quality 60% and price 40%. For the quality assessment, suppliers must participate in a round involving the scanning of six specimens and submit the digital images by 18 September 2026.
