Instrument Washing, Drying and Sterilization Equipment and Water Systems

Summary

The procurement covers four groups of equipment for the instrument reprocessing centre on the fourth floor of Building G at Oulu University Hospital: instrument washer-disinfectors, a drying cabinet for hospital instruments, autoclaves and reverse-osmosis water equipment. The equipment is being purchased as a one-off acquisition, with one supplier selected for each lot. The contract for equipment-specific supplies, accessories and spare parts will run for two years and then continue indefinitely. Deliveries and installations are planned for 2027: installation of the reverse-osmosis water distribution line is scheduled to start on 2 January, installation of the washer-disinfectors and autoclaves on 22 February, and installation of the drying cabinet on 31 March; the reverse-osmosis water unit is planned for installation on 22 February. Commissioning of the equipment and validation of the washer-disinfectors and autoclaves are expected around October 2027. Contract awards and purchases depend on budget appropriations; the buyer may make no purchases in a given year if no funds are allocated.
