Restoration dredging at Parikkala Siikalahti 2026–2027

Summary

The contract covers habitat restoration works at the Parikkala Siikalahti wetland in 2026–2027. The work involves opening overgrown areas by removing floating moss, marsh and aquatic vegetation, as well as mainly sparse willow and birch, including their roots. In some areas, the contractor must expose muddy ground and create depressions that can hold seasonal water. Bottom sediment is not to be dredged. The estimated volume of the planned work is approximately 11,000 m³, including roots and vegetation; the actual volume may differ. The contract is not divided into lots.
