Wildfire behaviour and ecology outreach workshops for schools using simulation models

Summary

Gesplan is procuring, as a single contract without lots, an educational outreach service for schools and other participating centres in Gran Canaria on wildfire behaviour, fire ecology and prevention under the Gran Canaria Mosaic Strategy. The service includes designing, building and commissioning five simulation models; transporting, setting up, maintaining and replenishing them; and delivering workshops with a complementary talk, using controlled real-fire demonstrations when safe and an alternative no-fire format when necessary. The planning reference is 15 annual activity days, averaging two sessions per day and covering 15 different centres per campaign; the contract runs through 31 December 2028. The estimated value is €37,525 excluding IGIC (€40,151.75 including 7% IGIC).
