Restoration of the Historic Tower at Villapresente

Summary

The contract covers restoration of the historic tower wall at Villapresente, construction of a viewing platform and improvement of the surrounding area, including a rest area and widening of the municipal access road. This is one integrated works contract and is not divided into lots. The works must be completed within six months from the setting-out verification record. The estimated value is EUR 190,077.67 excluding VAT, and the maximum budget is EUR 229,993.98 including 21% VAT. Price is the sole award criterion. Bids must be submitted electronically with the European Single Procurement Document, the responsible declaration form and the price offer form. Bidders must be legally entitled to carry out the works and hold any required activity authorisations; company classification is not mandatory. A technically qualified works manager and a site foreman must be present on site throughout the working day; a surveyor must also be provided if requested by the works director. The successful bidder must provide the required evidence within 10 working days and lodge a final guarantee equal to 5% of the final offered price. The contractor must submit a health and safety plan and a plan for managing waste and reusable materials. The price must include, among other costs, quality-control expenses of up to 1% of the tender base price excluding VAT.
