Supply and installation of a GC-MS system for the drug laboratory in Algeciras

Summary

The contract is for one gas chromatograph–mass spectrometer (GC-MS) system for the drug laboratory in Algeciras, for rapid detection and sensitive quantitative analysis of seized narcotic and psychotropic substances. The supply includes the gas chromatograph, mass spectrometer, control software and computer, autosampler, manuals, installation and training. The system must be compatible with the laboratory’s existing models and previously acquired data and meet the minimum technical specifications; equivalent equipment is allowed. The successful bidder must install and commission the equipment within one month of contract signature, provide initial training and an additional advanced training visit during the first year. The warranty must last at least two years and cover parts, travel and labour. The main contractor must itself carry out installation, calibration, initial commissioning and staff training. The contract is not divided into lots, and price is the sole award criterion. The estimated value is EUR 103,305.79 excluding VAT, with a maximum budget of EUR 125,000 including 21% VAT. The bidder must demonstrate annual turnover in the relevant field of at least EUR 206,611.58 in the highest-turnover year among the three most recent available financial years, and a cumulative value of previous supplies of at least EUR 103,305.79 in the year of greatest activity.
