Ballroom Dance Instruction for Older Adults

Summary

The tender is for Benavente City Council’s ballroom dance instruction service for older adults as part of its active-ageing programme. The service includes adapted pasodoble, tango and rumba, simple choreographies, and mobility, stretching and relaxation exercises. Classes take place at the Casa de Cultura cultural centre for up to 20 participants, once a week for 90 minutes; 52 sessions are estimated per year. Activities must be moderate in intensity, safe, progressive and adapted to the group’s physical abilities. The instructor must have ballroom-dance training, documented experience with older adults or similar groups, and basic knowledge of adapted physical activity. The maximum budget for one year is EUR 8,580 excluding VAT, or EUR 10,381.80 including VAT; the estimated price is EUR 165 per session. The contract runs for one year and may be extended in annual periods up to a total duration of three years. Price reduction carries up to 70 points and complementary activities up to 30 points; complementary activities must be group-based and last at least as long as a regular class.
