Pedestrian improvement of the southern section of Calle Mayor
Summary
The contract covers the refurbishment of the western pavement on the southern section of Calle Mayor in Pezuela de las Torres and its conversion into a landscaped pedestrian promenade linking the town centre with the southern exit. The works will renew the deteriorated pavement and surfacing, including areas damaged or lifted by tree roots and sections without paving. The contract comprises one lot, with an estimated construction period of three months; in justified exceptional circumstances, the period may extend to a maximum of five months. The tender budget is EUR 78,240.46 excluding VAT and EUR 94,670.96 including 21% VAT. Tenders must be submitted electronically within 20 calendar days starting the day after publication of the contract notice. The evaluation awards up to 50 points for price, 30 for project improvements, 10 for a shorter completion period and 10 for an extended warranty; a tender must score at least 50 points. Tenderers must meet the registration and economic and technical capacity requirements. Before works commence, the contractor must provide liability insurance covering at least the contract value and lodge a EUR 2,000 guarantee with the road authority. The works must use documented energy-efficient electric tools, manage water responsibly, protect trees and maintain safe pedestrian access. The warranty period is one year and may be extended in the tender.
