Transport and replenishment of safety helmets at the Tajo Gorge
Summary
The contract covers collecting used safety helmets worn by visitors to the Tajo Gorge and transporting them from the exit point near the Hermitage of San Miguel to the visitor entrance at Caseta del Manolillo, while continuously replenishing the stock. The helmets belong to the contracting entity; the contractor is not required to supply new ones. The service must operate in Ronda seven days a week throughout the monument’s opening hours, which may be up to 12 hours a day. Planning assumptions include up to 100 visitors every 15 minutes and an existing stock of approximately 1,000 helmets. The contractor must organise suitable vehicles, staffing and operating arrangements and ensure uninterrupted helmet availability, backup capacity, staff training and pedestrian safety. The contract runs for two years, with a possible one-year extension. The budget for the initial two years is capped at EUR 96,000 excluding VAT; the estimated total including the possible extension is EUR 144,000 excluding VAT. Price carries up to 60 points, use of zero-emission vehicles up to 25 points, and the emergency response plan up to 15 points. The bid and required documents must be submitted electronically within 15 calendar days of publication of the contract notice.
