Redevelopment of the Domingo Acosta Guión Plaza playground
Summary
The contract covers the comprehensive renewal, modernisation and expansion of the existing children’s play area at Plaza Domingo Acosta Guión, in the Benahoare development. Two separate areas will be joined into one continuous 298.48 m² playground. The works include removing existing play equipment and fencing, demolishing the old tile and rubber surfacing, levelling the site, constructing a reinforced-concrete base, installing underground electrical conduits, building foundations for future shade pergolas, laying continuous impact-absorbing surfacing and installing new compliant modular play equipment. The contracting authority is the Santa Cruz de La Palma City Council. The contract is not divided into lots. The estimated value is EUR 115,820.07 excluding IGIC; the maximum budget including 7% IGIC is EUR 123,927.47. Bids must be submitted electronically. Price is worth up to 90 points and an extended warranty up to 10 points. The standard warranty is 12 months; bidders may offer up to 24 additional months, for a total of up to 36 months. The source documents conflict on the works period: the administrative specification states 3 months, while the contract-approval decree states 6 months. Check the current contract notice and final tender documents. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity, provide the required register entry or evidence of an application for registration, and confirm that no exclusion grounds apply and that taxes and social-security contributions are up to date. The successful bidder must commit adequate resources to the works, appoint a full-time works representative with experience in similar projects, provide the required insurance and prepare safety and waste-management plans at the start of the works. The technical documents also require a quality-control plan and as-built drawings at completion.
