Extension and refurbishment of the Ala 12 loading dock

Summary

The contract covers the extension and refurbishment of the Ala 12 loading dock at Torrejón Air Base to improve workplace safety and the movement of heavy transport vehicles. The works include removing and relocating the existing kerb, extending the platform 5 metres towards the rear with associated excavation and concrete works, installing a 1.00–1.10 metre-high safety railing, and resurfacing the entire loading area with asphalt. The contractor must provide the materials, equipment and labour, obtain the required works permits and pay the related charges, and properly manage construction waste. The works must be completed within one month of the site-setting-out verification record and no later than 15 December 2026. The maximum budget is EUR 53,719.01 excluding VAT, or EUR 65,000 including 21% VAT. Price is the sole award criterion. The bid must include proof of the mandatory site visit and a work schedule showing start and finish dates for every individual work item; omission or incompleteness of the schedule results in automatic exclusion. Bidders must visit the site before preparing their offers and take account of the required EUR 150,000 civil liability insurance and the other participation and performance conditions in the tender documents.
