Artists’ performances and concert organisation for the 2027 Sant Sebastià festivities

Summary

Palma City Council is procuring artists’ performances and the technical and logistical organisation of concerts in the programme for the 2027 Sant Sebastià festivities. The procurement is divided into eight lots. For each lot, the contractor must arrange the musical performances and cover artist fees, technical equipment, sound and lighting, transport, accommodation, catering, stage management and the necessary permits. The concerts are free and open to the public. Lots and budgets excluding VAT: 1) Plaça d’Espanya, up to two established, active and recognised acts plus a support act, €85,000; 2) Plaça de Joan Carles I, up to four DJ performances, €30,000; 3) Plaça Major, up to three traditional dance-party or pop performances, €80,000; 4) Plaça d’Espanya street festival, up to four performances with compatible musical styles, €100,000; 5) Plaça de Cort street festival, up to three stylistically compatible performances and technical production for the Drac de na Coca procession, €42,000; 6) Plaça Major street festival, up to two performances and sound and lighting for up to four traditional and popular performances supplied by the City Council, €22,000; 7) Plaça de Joan Carles I street festival, up to four stylistically compatible performances, €90,000; 8) Plaça de la Reina street festival, up to four stylistically compatible performances, €50,000. The total budget is €499,000 plus 21% VAT, or €603,790 including VAT. Bidders may tender for one or more lots and propose up to 15 artists or groups for each lot. Performances take place on different squares between 15 and 20 January 2027: from the evening of 15 January into the early hours of 16 January, on 16 January, and from the evening of 19 January into the early hours of 20 January. The contract runs from 15 December 2026 to 24 January 2027. The contractor must arrange the performances, sound and lighting, technical installation and logistics, including travel, accommodation, catering, stage management and legalisation of the required electrical installations. Bidders must submit artist and technical proposals, proof of exclusive performance rights and the required qualification and compliance documents. Evaluation considers price reductions, artists’ audience reach, and the mix and achievements of established, emerging and local artists.
