Structural reinforcement of the office wing at the former La Pilarcita flour mill

Summary

The tender covers structural reinforcement of the office wing of the former La Pilarcita flour mill in Íscar. The works include demolishing the building’s internal timber structure and staircase and installing a new laminated-timber load-bearing structure and concrete floor slabs, constructing new foundations and a ventilated floor, and redesigning the roof connection to the historic church apse. Other works include temporary protection and lighting of the façades, removal of a deteriorated railing around the church apse, and repair of the support for a broken roof truss in the former mill. Historic features must be preserved. This phase does not include deciding the building’s final use, finishes or permanent building services. The expected contract period is 6 months and the budget is €293,004.37 including VAT. Price is the sole award criterion. Bidders must submit the required responsible declaration and price offer electronically; the offer must not exceed the budget. Bidders must demonstrate financial and technical capacity. Before work begins, the successful contractor must submit safety and health and construction-waste management plans for approval, and must manage the work schedule, quality control, waste and environmental protection, secure the site perimeter and arrange construction all-risks insurance. The works must comply with the technical requirements in the project.
