Quinquennial inspection and re-certification of the water-mist fire suppression system at the data centre

Summary

The contract covers the five-year inspection and re-certification of the water-mist fire-suppression system at the Badajoz provincial data centre. The work includes leak-tightness testing of the pipework and hydrostatic testing of pressure vessels, cleaning and inspecting filters and nozzles, servicing valves and the pump unit, replacing required spare parts, reinstalling components and checking system operation. The pipework test pressure must be maintained for 120 minutes, and the system must be monitored for 24 hours after reassembly. Four 5 kg CO2 fire extinguishers must be provided while the installation is out of service. At completion, the contractor must provide the five-year maintenance report, re-certification certificates and a final report with photographic records. The work must be completed within a maximum of 3 months. The estimated value is EUR 25,000 excluding VAT; the total budget, including 21% VAT, is EUR 30,250. Price is the sole award criterion, and the bid must not exceed EUR 25,000 excluding VAT. Bids must be submitted electronically; the stated deadline is 14:00 on the 11th working day after publication of the notice. Bidders must meet the technical authorisation requirements and hold professional liability insurance with coverage of at least EUR 800,000. A correction to the procurement procedure expressly exempted bidders from proving the turnover and previous-experience thresholds set out in the administrative proposal. Bidders must be registered in the relevant register, must not be subject to statutory procurement prohibitions, and must be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
