Workshops on Sexual Education and Addiction Prevention

Summary

The contract covers training workshops for pupils, teachers and families in the educational community of Sant Joan d'Alacant, divided into two lots: preventing the harmful effects of pornography and providing sexual, relationship and emotional education (Lot 1); and preventing addictions from a neuroscience perspective (Lot 2). Lot 1 plans 59 workshops and a 20-hour reserve per year, with an annual budget of EUR 5,635. Lot 2 plans 28 workshops and a 10-hour reserve per year, with an annual budget of EUR 3,320. The combined annual budget is EUR 8,955, and the estimated total contract value, including possible extensions and modifications, is EUR 37,611. Payment is only for workshops actually delivered, and each workshop requires at least 8 participants. Lot 1 includes 56 workshops for pupils aged 10–12 in fifth and sixth grade (14 groups, with four approximately one-hour sessions per group), one workshop for teachers and workshops for families. Lot 2 plans 10 workshops on prevention of non-substance addictions for fifth-grade pupils and 11 workshops on substance-addiction prevention for third-year secondary pupils, as well as workshops for teachers and families on topics including the brain and parenting, adolescence, screens and digital technology. Pupil workshops may last up to 60 minutes; teacher and family workshops may last up to 90 minutes. The contract runs for two years, expected to start on 1 October 2026, with two possible one-year extensions. Bidders must submit a price offer and evidence of the team’s relevant experience and specialist training. For Lot 1, the professionals delivering the workshops must be psychologists specialising in sexology. Offers are assessed on price, the team’s relevant experience and training, and an optional population study. The contractor must organise and deliver the workshops, provide materials and equipment, keep signed attendance records and submit evaluation reports. Communications during contract performance must use both official languages of the Valencian Community.
