Sterile swabs in tubes without medium for population-based cervical cancer screening

Summary

The procurement is for an estimated 40,000 sterile, dry swabs in polypropylene tubes, without transport medium or preservative, for cervical sample collection and HPV DNA testing in the cervical cancer screening programme. Each swab must have a short-fibre flocked tip and a semi-rigid plastic shaft with a visually marked, coloured break point 7–8.5 cm from the tip. The tube must measure 13 × 165 mm, and the product must be suitable for storage at 2–30 °C. If individually packaged, each package must be no larger than 20 × 6 × 2 cm; the expiry date must be more than 22 months after delivery. Price is the sole award criterion: the lowest-priced bid receives 100 points, while a bid matching the tender price receives 0 points. Bidders must provide the product technical data sheet and a CE-marking certificate or responsible declaration, and deliver four compliant samples before the bid deadline. They must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €60,000 and supplies of a similar nature worth at least €60,000. The bid and product must meet the technical and labelling requirements in the tender documents.
