Painting and finishing services for CentroCentro exhibition projects

Summary

This is a demand-based contract for painting and finishing services for CentroCentro exhibition projects in Madrid. The work covers preparing and protecting walls, platforms, plinths and other exhibition fittings; filling and painting surfaces; and completing final finishing before exhibitions open. Around 30 exhibitions are planned each year. The contractor must use high-quality paint with low or no volatile organic compound content and the EU Ecolabel or equivalent evidence. The contractor must provide the necessary staff, vehicles, tools and auxiliary equipment. Work will generally take place on weekdays, although weekend or public-holiday work may be requested with justification. The standard response time is no more than 48 hours, or 24 hours in exceptional urgent situations. The contract runs for 12 months and may be extended twice for 12 months each. The annual budget is €69,468.98 excluding VAT (€84,057.46 including VAT); the maximum unit price for painting is €7.88 per square metre excluding VAT. The estimated total value, including possible extensions, is €208,406.94 excluding VAT. Tenders are scored out of 100 points: price up to 50, a maintenance plan up to 10, environmental measures up to 20, and a shorter response time up to 20. A maintenance plan may offer visits to CentroCentro once or twice a week; bidders may offer a standard response time of 36 or 24 hours. Tenders must be submitted electronically with the required signed forms and evidence. Bidders must meet the minimum annual turnover requirement of €104,203.47 and the relevant experience requirement. The successful bidder must provide a 5% contract guarantee and the required liability insurance.
