Passport-control assistance service at Alicante-Elche Airport

Summary

The procurement is for passenger assistance at the passport-control areas of Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport. The contractor will guide passengers in using automated border-control equipment, manage passenger flows, position and signpost equipment in control areas, report security incidents, and put in place or remove protective elements for the automated equipment. The service covers four departure and arrival control areas and is delivered in cooperation with the state security forces. The contract lasts up to four months and covers a maximum of 20,400 service hours. The reference hourly rate is €14.70 and the contract ceiling is €299,880 excluding VAT; the contracting authority guarantees neither a minimum number of hours nor minimum expenditure. Bids must use the specified total amount and state a discount on the hourly rate; the lower unit-price offer is more advantageous for comparison. Service is provided Monday to Sunday as operationally required, in shifts of at least four hours. Staff must know English and be trained to use the Entry/Exit System (EES) hardware and software. Bidders must visit the airport site before submitting an offer.
