Supply, installation and maintenance of UPS systems for Fuerteventura General Hospital

Summary

The contract covers the supply, installation, commissioning and warranty-period comprehensive maintenance of 12 new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for Fuerteventura General Hospital. Eight units are for the operating theatre block and four for the maternity area; the systems will be installed in maintenance rooms on the hospital’s third floor. The aim is to maintain an uninterrupted electricity supply for critical medical and other equipment. Each system must have a rated capacity of 10 kVA, use VFI double-conversion technology and meet the specified efficiency, voltage, overload-capacity and protection-rating requirements. Each unit must have its own battery bank, with a design life of at least 10 years and autonomy of at least 120 minutes at a 5.5 kW load. The supplier must deliver, install and test new equipment and provide comprehensive maintenance and repairs during the warranty period, as well as user training. The hospital is responsible for removing the existing systems and managing their waste. Delivery and installation must be completed within three months of notification of the order. The minimum warranty is 24 months, and longer coverage may be offered. Bids are evaluated on price (60 points) and quality (40 points). Quality scoring considers increased battery autonomy, an independent mechanical bypass, a cybersecurity communications card certified to IEC 62443-4-2, and an extended warranty. The estimated value is €99,960 excluding indirect tax and €106,957.20 including 7% tax. To participate, tenderers must meet the financial and technical capacity requirements, be registered in the relevant official tenderer register by the deadline, and provide the required technical evidence and maintenance plan. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish.
