Acquisition of a Risen Christ sculpture for Alcalá de Henares

Summary

The municipality of Alcalá de Henares is procuring a contemporary, life-size wooden sculpture of the Risen Christ and its delivery to Alcalá de Henares. The sculpture must be carved from cedar, polychromed, anatomised, supplied with a textile tunic, and approximately 1.80–2.20 m tall. It must depict Christ standing calmly, with the right hand pointing upwards and the left hand extended towards the viewer. Historical works, works more than 100 years old, and works protected as cultural heritage are not eligible. Delivery is due within 10 calendar days of the contract’s final signature. Construction of a plinth and installation works are not included. The tender must include a technical and artistic dossier with photographs that allows the authority to check compliance with the minimum technical requirements and assess artistic quality. The evaluation awards up to 49 points for price, up to 11 points for a proposed additional contribution to conservation and protection, and up to 40 points for artistic and sculptural quality. The maximum budget is €28,000 including 10% VAT (€25,454.55 excluding VAT). The supplier must provide evidence of authorship, authenticity, ownership and lawful provenance, together with the required technical records; before acceptance, the legal and sustainable origin of the wood must be evidenced. Separate evidence of financial or technical/professional capacity is not required. The successful tenderer must provide a final guarantee equal to 5% of the contract price excluding VAT after award.
