Rehabilitation and improvement of the Fuente de la Carrasca rural road in Moratalla

Summary

The tender covers the rehabilitation and improvement of the Fuente de la Carrasca rural road in the municipality of Moratalla, Murcia. The works will restore and strengthen about 5.284 km of road: on certain sections, the existing pavement will be recycled in place with cement, followed by a prime coat and a 5 cm hot-mix asphalt wearing course. The works also include improving drainage and installing or renewing vertical and road markings. The road connects the area around Cañada de la Cruz with farms and neighbouring settlements. Bidders must demonstrate annual turnover of at least EUR 600,000 and experience in comparable road works, or, for a newly established company, availability of the required construction machinery. The works must be assigned to a full-time technician with one of the specified higher-education qualifications. During performance, at least one hybrid or equivalent low-emission vehicle must be used, and the environmental and livestock-route protection conditions must be followed.
