Demolition of the Brick Wall and Construction of a Concrete Wall at Morata de Tajuña Barracks

Summary

The tender covers demolition of a 62-metre section of damaged brick wall and construction of a new concrete wall at the Guardia Civil barracks in Morata de Tajuña. The works also include project-specified repairs to the boundary fencing, fitting coping to masonry and repairing a corroded electrical connection cabinet that does not close properly. The existing wall has tilted, cracked and bulged under soil pressure and cannot be repaired safely because of the risk of collapse. The works must be completed within 75 working days from the setting-out inspection record or, where applicable, the works commencement record. The estimated contract value is EUR 94,446.33 excluding VAT, and the maximum budget is EUR 114,280.06 including VAT. The procurement has one lot. Tenderers must demonstrate annual turnover of at least EUR 125,000 and the required previous construction experience. They must provide a suitably qualified full-time site manager and an approved site office. Construction waste must be reduced by at least 5% through reuse, recovery or recycling. Bids are evaluated on price (80%) and an extension of the warranty period (20%); the initial warranty is one year and may be extended by up to two years. Bids must be submitted through the public procurement platform.
