Pest control and drinking water quality and Legionella prevention services in Humanes de Madrid

Summary

The procurement covers urban pest prevention and control, drinking-water quality monitoring, and Legionella prevention in Humanes de Madrid. Bids may be submitted for either or both lots. - Lot 1: monitoring and control of rats, mice, cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, wasps and other urban pests, plus disinfection where needed in public areas, the sewer network and municipal buildings. Minimum activities are four general treatment campaigns per year, monthly maintenance and monitoring in risk areas, and three scheduled annual campaigns in municipal buildings. Ordinary reports must be responded to within 12 hours. A telephone emergency service must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for urgent situations affecting public health. - Lot 2: planning and taking drinking-water samples, laboratory testing, chlorine monitoring and maintenance of dosing equipment, management of records in the national drinking-water information system, inspection and hygienic maintenance of Legionella-risk installations, cleaning and disinfection, and preparation, implementation and updating of the prevention and control plan. The service also includes interpreting results, reporting incidents and proposing corrective measures. The contractor must prepare a service plan, provide suitably qualified staff and the necessary vehicles, equipment and materials, and submit the required work records and reports. The initial term is one year, with up to three one-year extensions, for a maximum total of four years. The annual budget including VAT is €21,000: €18,000 for Lot 1 and €3,000 for Lot 2. Bidders must demonstrate the financial and technical capacity required for each lot, the required quality-management system, and the applicable business registration or laboratory accreditation. Price is worth 49 points and service-quality criteria up to 51 points, covering response time, additional activities, additional certificates and the speed of delivery of results reports.
