Artist performances at the 2027 San Sebastián celebrations

Summary

The tender covers the selection of performers and the full technical and logistical delivery of free public concerts and street-party events for Palma’s 2027 San Sebastián celebrations. The contract is divided into eight lots, and bidders may apply for one, several or all lots. The lots cover concerts and DJ performances on 15–16 January and street-party events on 19–20 January. Events take place at Plaza de España, Plaza de Joan Carles I, Plaça Major, Plaça de Cort and Plaça de la Reina; one lot also includes the technical production of the Drac de na Coca procession. The lot budgets, excluding VAT, are €85,000, €30,000, €80,000, €100,000, €42,000, €22,000, €90,000 and €50,000 respectively. The total budget is €499,000 plus 21% VAT of €104,790. The contractor must engage the artists under exclusive performance arrangements and cover their fees, sound and lighting, backline, electrical-installation approvals, generators where needed, transport, accommodation, catering, stage management and changeovers between performances. Palma City Council will set the number and order of performances and the schedule, and will provide some stages, electricity connections, dressing-room facilities and security services. The bid must include artistic and technical proposals and the required evidence for performers and equipment; a maximum of 15 artist or band proposals may be submitted for each lot. Capacity is assessed in part through turnover and relevant past experience. Final bids are assessed on price reductions as well as performers’ audiences, the mix of artist categories, established and local artists’ experience, and emerging artists’ digital reach.
