Summary
The tender covers Phase 1 of construction for the new Gijón Intermodal Station: redevelopment of the urban area around Carlos Marx Street. The works include, among other things, demolishing a 350-metre viaduct and the underpass beneath it, reorganising roads and roundabouts, building a large sewer collector, and renewing utility networks, public spaces, parking areas and a cycle lane. Preparatory elements for the future underground car park must also be built, while maintaining traffic and access to the station during construction. The works period is 33 months. The estimated value is EUR 40,763,905.32 excluding VAT and EUR 49,324,325.44 including VAT. Bids must be submitted electronically, and the contract is not divided into lots. Price accounts for 51% of the evaluation and technical quality for 49%; bidders must score at least 30 points in the qualitative criteria. Bidders must hold the required construction classification or, for eligible EU and EEA companies, provide evidence of equivalent capacity, and must commit a team with specified qualifications and experience. The submission must also include a work method and programme, quality, environmental and occupational health and safety plans, and technology and BIM proposals. No tender guarantee is required; the successful bidder must provide a 5% final guarantee and, under the conditions stated in the tender documents, an additional 5% guarantee.
